Take a deep breath, drop into your heart and give yourself some much deserved love and gratitude. If you can today, go out in nature and just take a moment to be grateful for all that is.
There is a lot going on in the world, and it can cause fear and feelings of powerlessness. But you can't give from a place of fear or anger.
And yes, you should feel those feelings, don't deny or push them down. But feel them and then release them and go back to what brings you to the present moment.
Being in the present moment is where your power is.
There's a wonderful little book by Eckhart Tolle titled "Stillness Speaks".
The book contains many short entries meant to lead you inward to your heart and soul.
I'd like to share one entry in a section titled "Nature".
Here is how it goes:
"We depend on nature not only for our physical survival. We also need nature to show us the way home, the way out of the prison of our own minds. We get lost in doing, thinking, remembering, anticipating - lost in a maze of complexity and a world of problems.
We have forgotten what rocks, plants and animals know. We have forgotten how to be - to be still, to be ourselves, to be where life is: Here and Now."
Read that again and let it settle into your bones, wash over your heart.
As we move through spring and into summer, I invite you to go into your favorite nature spots and allow it to teach you. Or maybe I should say allow it to bring you back home. Allow it to remind you what you know deep in your soul, that you came here perfect, whole. And in the stillness, in being in the now, you take back your power.
As you are still and just being, it may feel like nothing, even silly (or many other negative descriptions our small minds will come up with - so creative). That's just your ego/mind/small self getting nervous, trying to keep you from expanding beyond it. It's okay, just do it anyway. Relax, breathe and drop into your heart. And just be. And if you struggle, just observe your struggle with kindness. And keep practicing.
Life is just a beautiful, messy experience meant to feed your soul. Trust that.
You are beautiful. And loved. Always.
The more peaceful and present in our body, the more powerful we can become. When we slow down, gather our thoughts and center and ground, we lift the fog.
Time in nature, meditation, sleep and all those things you do to bring joy and peace into your life - it's time to do more of those things.
Pay attention when you bring those tools back into your life. Your intuition, creative ideas and well-being will increase (very likely in a noticeable way).
And since everything is energy, your energy ripples out into the field. And who knows how far it goes.
What heals us, heals the whole. You are eternal.
I know how challenging it can be to spend time on ourselves. So, I've made it easy. One thing every day. you have one hour or ten minutes, right? Make it fun and make it consistent.
